Testimony not TEA: My Personal Pause
I want to be real with you—lately, I’ve been carrying a lot. Like so many of you, I’ve been pushing through, showing up, and trying to hold everything together. But the truth is, I recently hit a wall. I found myself overwhelmed, stressed, and on the verge of the biggest mental breakdown I’ve ever felt.
It wasn’t just one thing—it was everything. The pressure to keep going, the fear of letting people down, the weight of expectations, and forgetting to care for myself in the process. I was running on empty and still trying to pour into others.
And then, I heard that still, small voice say: “Step back. Breathe. Let Me carry this with you.”
So I did. I took a step back—not out of weakness, but out of wisdom. I started prioritizing my mental health, setting boundaries, and learning to rest without guilt. I realized that being strong doesn’t mean being invincible—it means knowing when to pause and let God refill what life has drained.
This is your reminder: It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to slow down. And it’s more than okay to take care of your mind and heart. God isn’t disappointed in your need for rest—He designed you for it.
If you’re feeling like the world is too heavy, you’re not alone. And you don’t have to carry it all by yourself.
You’re seen. You’re loved. And your healing matters.
